Santa's Winter Wonderland

Last night my brother & I took our kids to Santa's Winter Wonderland. It was in one of the Crane family mansion's here in Dalton. We had never been before & it was free so we figured we would check it out! They did a great job on the whole set up of it all! Beautiful decorations! This first pic is of the outside of the mansion all lit up.

The first room you walked into was filled with about 7 trees all decorated differently. Here was one of the kids favorites, of course because it was filled with candy.

Some more trees in the next room.

LuLu just HAD to pose with the money tree (w/her cousin Alora).
This was the 3rd room. I thought this was such a cute idea! The "elves" were actually making toys too!
The 4th room. Braedon meeting the Grinch.

The kids all signed their names in Santas book.
This was the room right before seeing Santa. I loved this tree!

And here in the main room was a nice train set up. The boys were mesmerized by it! Braedon was dying to get his hands on it! They also got to decorate an ornament in this room as well for the elf to put on one of the trees.

One of the other rooms there was also a band playing Xmas music. It was nice that there was something for them to do in each room before they got to Santa. Of course no pics of the 13 yr. old, all she did was complain anyway, oh well her age I guess. The rest of the kids enjoyed it anyway! I was so tired by the time we got to Santa, mainly because Rylan made me hold him almost the whole time. I'm glad we went though!

Fun in the Snow!

After Lauren got back from dance today the kids decide they wanted to go out & play in the snow. They were happy that there was finally enough snow to play in. We have had a little snow before but nothing really worth getting all "dressed" up for, at least not in my kids eyes anyway. So I got them all suited up & ready to go.

This was Rylan's first time out in the snow to play. It's so funny when they are this little, all bundled up, trying to walk without falling. Here this was when I first brought him out & he just seemed mesmerized with it, probably not quite knowing what to do.
The other three welcoming him out.
The smile, he likes it!!
Braedon showing me how to "make" a snow angel.

My kids are too funny. All this snow to play in & they realize the cellar doors have a thin sheet of ice on them, so they decided to use them as a slide!
Rylan of course wanting to try as well, he loved it!
Lauren chasing Rye. He was all over the place, exploring. He kept trying to go near the road though so Lauren & I had to constantly be right behind him.
It was nice to actually have our own nice yard to play in. Maybe next time we will venture over across the street to the park or the field area. Santa might just have to bring them some new sleds!

On Saturday I had the opportunity to photograph my brother-in-laws daughter, Ina's baby boy Caiden. He's 6 weeks old and a cutie pie! Here are a few of them.

I love taking pictures! If you would like to have me do some pics for you or anyone you know needs them done I can be contacted thru my email AllyKat75@hotmail.com.

Craft Night!

I went to the dollar tree the other day to buy some craft stuff so the kids & I could make some Christmas ornaments together. So Friday night the kids got right to work. First they decorated these over sized ornaments. Then Sat. morning they did candy canes & reindeer ornaments. I love getting things like this for them to do because they actually all get along, (Lauren & Laci have been fighting alot lately). Plus it's great to see how creative they get & they love doing it!

Braedon proud of his fuzzy candy cane!
Reindeer time.
All the finished ornaments! Job well done, one proud Momma I am!
