How was everyone's Thanksgiving?
Our's was good!
OMG, so so much yummy food!
First I'm going to share one of the recipes I made that day then I'll show a few pics of the kids.
I don't know what got into me this year but I was a cooking machine.
I made applesauce, sweet potato souffle(recipe here), fresh corn bread & a slow cooker squash & apple dish.

Slow Cooker Squash & Apple Dish
1 1/4 (3 lbs.) butternut squash - peeled, seeded & cubed
4 3/4 apples - peeled, cored & chopped
3/4 cup & 2 tablespoons & 1 teaspoon dried cranberries
5/8 white onion, diced (optional, I kept this part out)
1 tablespoon & 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1-3/4 teaspoons ground nutmeg
Combine all ingredients in a slow cooker on high for 4 hours or until squash is tender.
Stir occasionally while cooking.
Now I did this recipe exactly except for using the onion.
It came out really good.
The only thing I would change though is not adding the apple in till later on because the apples became almost applesauce consistency.
If you want nice soft chunks of apples I would recommend not adding the apples until maybe a couple hours into it's cooking.
It was really good though & I will definitely will be making this dish for Christmas dinner as well!
Now on to a few pics of the day.
