2 Ingredient Banana Bread Cookies!

                     Good Morning All!

I wanted to share a super duper easy recipe I found on Pinterest! It only has 2 ingredients! That's right 2!! Unless you want to add more which is totally up to you! I LOVE Pinterest, I guess you could say I'm addicted! I have found so many new recipes, home decor ideas, party ideas, etc... When I saw this recipe I just had to try it! I mean how could you not with only 2 ingredients!

Ok here it is:
2 over ripe bananas(I used 4)
1 cup of Quick Oats(I used 2 cups)
Mix the 2 together

Drop by the spoonful on a cookie sheet. I lined mine with foil for easy clean up.
Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

Because I doubled my batch I decide to add another ingredient to my second batch.
I LOVE coconut and thought why not try adding some?!
So I added a handful.
Mixed it up & dropped it again by the spoonful on a foil lined cookie sheet & baked at 350 for 15 minutes.
 And here they are:

So easy, quick, healthy & delicious!! You could also add things like choc. chips, nuts, dried cranberries, etc.. Let me know if you try this out & tell what you think!

                             Have a great day!

Back to School - 2014

Hello all!

It's Friday! Yay! No school for 2 days! Yes I'm one of those moms who doesn't want her kids to go back to school. I love the laziness of summer. Going to the lake, beach, lounging in our jammies all day, going to the park, vacation, etc... Even though my kids drive me crazy at times, I like when they are home. Wish they could stay little forever. I've actually considered homeschooling but my kids don't want to, they want to go to school. oh well.

Anyway, this year is a big year for us. My oldest, Lauren went into her senior year, my second, Laci went into middle school, my third, went into 2nd grade & my fourth went into Kindergarten. Lets just say Tuesday morning was not easy for me... Getting back into the routine of getting up at 6 in the morning was hard! I'm not an early morning person.

Of course I took some pictures. The oldest wasn't very cooperative, which honestly made me a little mad, but whatya gonna do, that's a teenager for you! Here's a few pics from that day:

                            Yup she's annoyed....

My youngest, Leah wanted in on the pic taking.

And she's off to middle school!

                 Off to 2nd grade!

                                  Have a great night!

My New Coffee Station - Part 2

Good Morning!

My last post was about my new coffee station area, where we got it, the before & after, etc... You can check it out here. Well today's post is just to show you all the end result, all ready to use! Here are some pics!

Everything I used to put our coffee station together I either had or bought at the goodwill. My inspiration actually came from a post I saw on Toni's, A Bowl Full of Lemons,  Instagram. When I saw hers I decided to try doing my own version. This shelf I found at Goodwill for like $5. I spray painted it burgundy. I think the blue cups look good against the burgundy.

The canisters came from Home Goods. I love that store!

The bookends came from a used furniture store. They were plain white so I spruced them up by spray painting them Oxford Blue. The small crate & jugs came from the Goodwill.

I just love my coffee station!

Would love to hear your thoughts! Have a wonderful day!

My New Coffee Station

                                 Hello friends!

This post will be a short but quick post about our new coffee station area. A couple weeks ago the hubby was walking home from work & one of the neighbors was having a tag sale, well he got talking to them telling how I like to refinish old furniture. The sweet old lady told him she had a piece for him to look at. He saw it, liked it & quickly came to get me for my approval which of course he got! The best part it was only $10!! Here it is:

So, I got the sander out & got to work. I never took an in between picture. This piece was also a little rickity so my father in law came over to help me tighten it up a little with some wood glue. The color stain I used was special walnut, which I'm also using on my cabinets in my kitchen. I decided it was going to be our coffee station on top & I would store my cookbooks on the bottom.
                Here is the finished product:

This piece had red tones so it ended up looking to be more like a red mahogany. Which is fine with me, I love how it came out! My brother had suggested getting a piece of plexi-glass to put on the top since we were using this as a coffee station. So, I went & got a piece which cost me more then I thought it would but I figured it was worth it so all my hard work wouldn't get ruined from coffee spills. I bought new handles at Walmart for $5.

                          Total amount on this project:
                          Stand - $10
                          Plexi-glass - $35
                          Handles - $5
                          Total - $50

Now I just have to get this all filled up! I'll post pics at a later date once it's all done!
I would love to know what you think! Have a great night!

Picnic at the Lake

Hello all!
Last week we went to one of our local lakes & met up with 2 of my siblings & their kids & my mom. We packed up a picnic dinner & had a nice relaxing evening at the lake. The kids all behaved really well together, no fighting, which is always nice! Here are a few pics of my kids... You won't see any of the oldest because she didn't go, she's not fond of lakes & also being 17 well you know teenagers, they don't really care to hang out with their parents & siblings all that much.

This is my youngest, Leah, she's 2 1/2.

She is a HUGE Daddy's girl!!
I love this pic of them!

Here she's playing with my nephew, Liam.

My second oldest, Laci, who's 10 being a good big sister taking Leah into the water.
