A New Headboard For Laci

Originally I had promised LuLu a new bed at tax time. But because the hubby was out of work for 2 months w/his injury we accumulated alot of bills & w/having to redo the basement we just don't have the extra money right now for it. So, I decided to try spray painting her headboard, hoping this would make her feel a little better about not getting a new bed. I had bought some purple spray paint a while ago & new that would be perfect. Purple is also the girls favorite color & my MIL bought her a new purple & pink bedset for Christmas.

Here is the before....

LuLu & Braedon helped w/the sanding.

Then it was ready for some color....

And the after....
I love it!

All put back together!

After it was all done I sent her up to check it out & she loved it!

Even hubby thought it looked great! Of course he likes the fact that I just saved us a bunch of money by doing this.

I'm joining Debbiedo's Spray Paint Color Partay!

Now go check out the other blogs & see what they have spray painted!

Springtime is Here!

Yay! Spring is here!

Tell me what Spring means to you!

Spring means to me:
Taking the kids to see the baby animals.
Every year at Hancock Shaker Village they have the Baby Animal Exhibit. I've taken my kids for the past 2 years & they love it. They get to get right in with the animals & pet them. There is many other things to do there as well. If you click on the link it brings you to their website.

My oldest 3 w/my sister & her 2 kids. You get to dress in the clothes the shakers wore back in the day. The kids actually loved dressing up!

Spring means Easter time! Yeah, I know, I go a little overboard! Oh well...

Spring means beautiful flowers.....

Spring means the girls annual dance recital!

Spring means Memorial Day Weekend spent at the campground where my mom has a seasonal campsite.

Spring means Lauren's birthday is coming up. I can't believe she'll be 14 this year!

Spring means fun times @ the playground!
And spring means the start of being able to go to the lake. Last year I was able to start taking them in May because it was so warm.

And most of all Spring means we are 1 step closer to Summer!

Linking up to Debbiedoo's Newbie Party!
