Antique Shop Find!

Hubby & I decided to head over to one of our local antique shops on Friday. I've been dying to fill up this space in the Kitchen below the chalk board. I've checked the Goodwill & Salvation Army out a few times but haven't found anything I liked.

Well we were only in the store about 5 minutes when we both spotted this. A tray table I guess you would call it. The tray actually comes off the stand & you could use it separately if you wanted to.

The tag said $95 bucks though & I was not about to spend that much. So as we were walking away from it one of the employees came over to us & asked us if we knew about the sale they were having? We told her we didn't. She then told us that everything in the store was 1/2 off! I was like "we'll take it!"

I was planning on spray painting it all black because of being beneath the chalkboard & all our appliances are black but I changed my mind. Our cabinets are a dark wood like this so I figured it still goes. Plus maybe someday it will actually be worth something & don't want to take a chance on ruining it. I think it fits the space well!

I kinda went blank a little when trying to decide what to put on it.

I like it though, simple, not to cluttered.

I always like to here what you think & if you have any other suggestions!

Hope your Monday is going well!
