Flower Headbands

I decided to try making some headbands for LuLu. I love the big flower hair accessories that I've seen on many blogs, so I figured I'd give a whirl. I bought the headbands from Family Dollar. The flowers came from Joanne's.

These clippy things were on the flowers so I removed them.

All I did was lay the headband on the counter, with my hot glue gun added some hot glue over to the right side & pressed the flower down. Once they were dried I had LuLu try them out.

I think they came out pretty good. Next I'm going to try making a few barrette ones.

More Snow?!

Ugh.... Here yesterday was a nice day too! I thought spring was finally on it's way! And what do I wake up to this morning? More darn SNOW! Yuck! I'm so over it! This is when I wish I was living in the south! I mean seriously Mother Nature we have enough! This is my garage & part of my back yard. The snow in the yard is halfway up the darn fence!!


It is pretty when it first falls....

But then in a couple hours it'll be all yucky & dirty!
Oh well, not much I can do about it.
We will try to enjoy the day anyway. Kids are on break from school so I need to go figure out what we are going to do today.

Happy Sunday!

Good Morning!

Made some yummy cinnamon buns for the kiddos! They were gone in a matter of minutes! I guess that's what happens with 4 kids. Guess I need to start making 2 packages @ a time.

Lazy day today. No CCD for the girls because of Feb. break. Lots of laundry to be done! Guess I need to stop procrastinating & just do it! Dinner tonite @ my mom's, that's always yummy! It looks nice outside, hopefully some of this dang snow melts! I'm so done with winter & ready for spring!! What's on your agenda for today??

Turkey Bacon Avocado Wrap

This is what I had for lunch yesterday. I love wraps & coming up different types of sandwiches. I first spread a little mayo & dijon mustard on the wrap. Then I used honey smoked turkey.

Shredded cheddar cheese.

Sliced avocado & grape tomatoes.

Red pepper strips & 2 slices of turkey bacon.

Lettuce & some more shredded cheddar.

Then roll...

And done!

It was sooo yummy! Enjoy!

Wordless Wednesday - Missing the Beach!

Mini Valentine Cakes

We were going to my mom's on Sunday to celebrate Valentine's Day. So Saturday night I had an idea to try making some mini heart shaped cakes using some cookie cutters I had. I wasn't quite sure if it was going to work but figured I would take a shot at it. It was also a good time to try out my new decorating kit I got from my mom for Christmas.

Ever since I made my daughter's rainbow cake back in November for her birthday, I've kinda been a little obsessed with "coloring" the cake batter. And of course for Valentine's Day I wanted to make a red cake. It really ended up being a dark pink, good enough though.

Once the batter was mixed & dye added, I put the cookie cutters into a cake pan & added the batter. Remember not to add to much batter because I made that mistake the first time & they were overflowing.

Once you take them out of the oven, let them cool for a few, gently poke them out of the cutters, then put in the fridge to cool for about 10 minutes. Putting them in the fridge makes it much easier when you are ready to frost them!

Then frost & decorate the way you like! 1 box of cake mix gave me about 15 mini cakes. Here are how mine came out! Pretty good if I do say so myself!

I'm thinking for St. Patrick's Day either mini shamrock cakes Or 1 big shamrock cake.

Bath Time = Fun Times!

The boys were in a silly mood tonight so I took a few bath time pics. My little man Braedon LOVES getting his pic taken!

How sweet is this?!

Aren't these towels adorable?! They were one of their Christmas presents from Grandma. Rylan's is a lion one & I'm sure you figured out Braedon's is a pirate one.
