Rylan Being Silly!

I caught a few pics of my little buggaboo being silly tonight. He had taken hubby's hat (which he has done many times, he likes to wear it) but then he started to walk around with it pulled all the way down over his face while cracking up laughing! Which of course got all of us laughing! He had no fear at all walking around like that not knowing what he was going to walk into! Needless to say it was hysterical. I only wish I had videotaped it instead though.

Have a great night!

Antique Shop Find!

Hubby & I decided to head over to one of our local antique shops on Friday. I've been dying to fill up this space in the Kitchen below the chalk board. I've checked the Goodwill & Salvation Army out a few times but haven't found anything I liked.

Well we were only in the store about 5 minutes when we both spotted this. A tray table I guess you would call it. The tray actually comes off the stand & you could use it separately if you wanted to.

The tag said $95 bucks though & I was not about to spend that much. So as we were walking away from it one of the employees came over to us & asked us if we knew about the sale they were having? We told her we didn't. She then told us that everything in the store was 1/2 off! I was like "we'll take it!"

I was planning on spray painting it all black because of being beneath the chalkboard & all our appliances are black but I changed my mind. Our cabinets are a dark wood like this so I figured it still goes. Plus maybe someday it will actually be worth something & don't want to take a chance on ruining it. I think it fits the space well!

I kinda went blank a little when trying to decide what to put on it.

I like it though, simple, not to cluttered.

I always like to here what you think & if you have any other suggestions!

Hope your Monday is going well!

Quick Shelf Makeover

This is my back porch/little mud room. It was pale yellow when we moved in so I kept it & decorated it w/sunflowers. It was already pretty organized but the 2 shelves were 2 different wood colors so I wanted to paint the corner shelf to match the bigger one. I know you can't even really tell but it was bugging me & gave me an excuse to do some more spray painting.

The before....

The after....

I like how it came out. Now they are more similar in color.

I love this, my mom bought it for me a couple years ago @ 1 of our local craft fairs.

Here's the shelf w/the kids baskets. They are actually their Easter baskets I made them last year, but I needed them for all their hats & gloves. At least I'm getting some more use out of them instead of just sitting in the closet. And the sunflower hooks I had in my kitchen @ the other house so they were perfect to put out here for LuLu & Braedon's school bags.

This shelf I had in the basement & it's great for storing shoes/boots & Lauren's school/dance bags & the lunch boxes. The basket on top is for other scarves, hats & gloves that don't fit in their individual baskets.

Here it is all together.

I'm pretty proud of myself because I'm definitely getting better @ the whole "organizing" thing!

Hope you all have a great weekend!
